Again, running isn’t anything new. I watched a movie tonight, Hood To Coast, about the famed relay. I’m going to some kinda running-oriented open-mic/storytelling event (I know, “storytelling” is so 2009) tomorrow night, and I just listened to an oldie-but-goodie running mixtape (Wale and Catchdubs). Basically, if I can’t actually run, I’ll just surround myself with it. Kinda silly, I know.
If it snows all night, tomorrow morning will be amazing. I plan to head out for 5 miles through powder and at the same time use the opportunity to clean my shoes: the ones that I trashed during the Pete McArdle Classic, the ones that still have blood stains on them from the abrasions I got on my heels during that run. And yes, the race that was the nail in the coffin for my 2010 racing season, and final act of punishment for my Achilles. Vengeance is mine.
But aside from all that? A quality 50 minutes in the pool today, followed by a quality 50 minutes in a core aerobics class, followed by a quality 50 minutes in the gym. I’m killer.
